The Vanco 280741 IR Receiver is a Mini Surface Mount style infrared receiver for use with a home theater IR repeater system. Typically, this compact IR receiver is used in an installation where having the receiver mounted on a the to of a table or on the side or underneath a cabinet is of utmost importance. The IR receiver takes in a signal from your remote control, passes it through to a connecting block and out to emitters allowing you to remotely control your AV components behind cabinet doors or in a closet. You can also use the receiver to replace an existing receiver in your home theater IR repeater system. The IR receiver is equipped with a 10 foot cable and a 3.5 millimeter stereo mini plug, which plugs directly into the IR connecting block. This version of the IR receiver is CFL proof, so you can install it anywhere in a room with CFL lighting.
