The Honeywell SC105 Seismic Vibration Sensor is designed to detect unauthorized access or tampering with mini-ATMs and other secure enclosures.
The SC105 uses a modified detection algorithm to better reject environmental vibration and noise, making it more suitable for freestanding equipment in public areas where people, traffic, or nearby machinery could otherwise cause nuisance alarms.
- Mini-Seismic Vibration Detector
ModelWhat it isTypical application
- SC100Universal seismic vibration detectorVaults, safes, fixed ATMs, vault doors, strong rooms, and other massive structures.
- SC105Seismic vibration detector optimized for noisy environmentsFreestanding ATMs, vending machines, ticket machines, filing cabinets, containers, and other objects in public areas.
SC100 vs. SC105The two detectors share the same sensing technology but are tuned for different environments.
FeatureSC100 vs. SC105 - Primary useSafes, vaults, fixed ATMs vs. Lobby ATMs, vending/ticket machines, cabinets
- Detection radius5 mvs. 3 m
- Alarm algorithmMaximum sensitivity for massive structures vs. Modified to reduce false alarms in noisy public environments
- Relay outputType C (changeover relay) vs. Type A relay
- Sensitivity settingsAdjustable with DIP switches vs. Optimized for noisy environments; delayed trigger settings available
- False alarm immunityStandard vs. Higher immunity in noisy locations
Which one should you choose?
Protecting safes, vaults, vault doors, or fixed ATMs: SC100
Protecting freestanding ATMs, vending machines, ticket machines, or cabinets in public/noisy areas: SC105
