The NEW FT-45 is a compact, highly effective modular plug crimp tool designed for installers and technicians who regularly terminate RJ-45 connectors. Unlike traditional bulky, feature-heavy crimp tools, the FT-45 is built for simplicity and efficiency, offering a modern approach to crimping. Specifically designed to work with IDEAL Feed-Thru Modular plugs, this tool also works with other feed-thru style connectors. A standout feature of Feed-Thru plugs is that they allow the conductors to feed through the connector, ensuring the correct wire order can be verified before crimping.

When crimping, the FT-45 cleanly shears excess conductors, leaving a smooth, flat finish that prevents accidental shorting or contact in plug jacks. It features a single universal crimp cavity suitable for RJ-45 / 8-position connectors and is compatible with both Feed-Thru and standard CAT5e or CAT6 connectors, eliminating the need to carry multiple tools.
